I was at the game on tuesday night and was frankly appauled by Hull's midfield performance meyler seems to find it difficult to stay on his fight and win headers against people 5 inches smaller than him. Quinn had one of his worst games for city to date with virtually zero creativity. Cory evans the usual mr consistent in the midfield mistimed quite allot of Challenges. Elmo However on the Right still posed a threat. 9 times out of 10 he will get the ball in and that means he creates opportunities.
In terms of Derbys performance they kept possesion well with Connor Sammon controlling the aerial Battles and using all his strength however they still created little even with a little bit of jammie rebounds to assist them in hitting the bar.
Hull's Defence did not give their best performance although Paul Mcshane showed spirit and desire worthy of his man of the match title.
Now to the man of the hour Gedo. the scorer of city's goal and egyptian mastermind supposedly and he did show signs of this brilliance he kept the ball well and showed a good first touch and the goal actually was better than i first thought he headed from behind the defender in a controlled manner which was impressive.
Stockdale could be said to be at fault for derby's equaliser but unlike jakupovic i would put this down to a lack of matches. with time he can be dominant in the air.
So Final thoughts a good result is all that matters really but some more desire and creativity needs to be instilled possibly with some squad rotation to increase pressure on some players who appeared complacent during the game.
Here i will Have General football talk but especially focus on Hull city my Home team. As a life long fan i am very opinionated when it comes to the tigers whether you agree or not hope you enjoy reading

Hull city vs Sheffield Wednesday 12/01/13
Hull city against sheffield wednesday on saturday night was a dissappointment for all. sheffield wednesday were definitely the better team on the night and physically outplayed a weary looking hull team.
The officials definitely had a poor game with a lack of control over the game. On Sheffield wednesdays first goal Llera was almost certainly interfering with play only missing the ball by inches and obscuring the goalies view and therefore offside should have been declared.
However this does not detract form the clear passion applied by the sheffield wednesday players, aswell as the tactical decision to push two wingers high on brady and el-mahamoudy which left the two wing backs all at sea.
I couldn't of faulted Bruces 3-5-2 layout due to its previous success but similar to Peterborough on the day it just didn't work. There should have been a change made to push back wednesdays widemen. Possibly with a 3-4-3 formation being applied. The lack of this change was our downfall there was no outlet for the midfield who looked dissinterested and continually lost the ball.
Looking at the wider picture this game is probably just a blip but i do think a bit of investment in the physical department of hulls game is needed a yaya toure or steven nzonzi like character (obviously with a lower price tag). Aswell i would look at a possible swap deal or simpson with again a more physical presence. When he does come up with the goods he is one of the best finishers in the division, however this doesnt happen very often he seems to lack the penetration which is needed for hull. Bothroyd or Beckford would be the kind of player where looking for. Someone who can hold up the ball aswell as score goals.
